Social networking app, VoxWeb has raised $350K in fresh round of funding from unspecified investors. The company will use this fund for its latest product picture taking app named Speaking Orange Line Picture. It will also use the fund to further build its technology across Android and iOS platform.

The startup had also raised $100K in August from co-founder and Managing Director of Citrus Pay, Jitendra Gupta. The company has not reveled whether he has also invested in this round of funding or not.

Voxweb was started by Yash Mishra back in 2014. The startup has launched its app for Android and iOS devices. Voxweb is a mobile app that allows its users to attach voice clip to the picture taken via their smartphones. You can attach any 11 second long voice clip to picture taken by the app. The user can listen the audio attached to the picture by clicking on the orange line beneath it.

VoxWeb, the Mumbai based social networking startup has launched its services in India, US and Europe, but the company is planning to launch its services to other Asian countries along with African countries.

Yash Mishra said about the development, “The plan was not to raise any capital prior to Series A round planned for early next year but this fund raise happened in mysterious circumstances. We got a call from an investor requesting meeting and their team landed in Mumbai next day. Trends are born in streets and the investor told us that he has observed 2 incredibly powerful and unique use cases of VoxWeb’s ‘orange line’ pics because of VoxWeb’s network structure. Interestingly, he put a condition that if he reveals the spotted trend, VoxWeb will not say no to his investment proposal. We restricted the capital injection to $350,000 – much less than the investor desired to invest. In the process we also became aware of a powerful under-current being created by the combo of VoxWeb’s network structure and speaking ‘orange line’ pics.”
