Vlurn.com, the eLearning portal has raised an unspecified amount in seed round of funding from MD and CEO of Accord Group, Vidyadhar Sarfare. The startup has issued a statement about the development and also said that it will use the fund to hire more people, strengthen its team, develop its mobile app, improve its technical team, build better studio infrastructure and marketing as well as promotion of its courses. Vlurn is an online learning startup that was founded by Mithil Pawar and Ashutosh Prajapati in 2014.

The eLearning portal offers many courses in different categories including Language, IT, Math and Science, Music, Finance as well as entrance exams. It is integrated platform that allows users to search and chose courses of their choice, and take the class with some fellow learners. As of now, the startup offers more than 40 courses in 6 categories. It has about 2,000 registered users, who have spent more than 5,000 hours of training on different courses.

Vidyadhar Sarfare said about the investment, “We feel that there are a lot of competitive niches in the overall learning market and we backed Vlurn to focus on offering video based training of some top notch trainers in India. This is a very large target market with multiple streams and online trainings are at an unprecedented inflection point, given the rapid rise in internet penetration and mobile phone usage.”
