Weave, an Utah-based Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) unified communications platform provided for small and medium-sized businesses has raised $15.5 million in Series B round of funding led by Crosslink Capital. Other participants of the round are Pelion Venture Partners, Peek Capital, A Capital, Y Combinator, Initialized Capital and other investors.
The startup Weave offers software that integrates phone, email, text and tools like the customer relationship management and electronic medical record applications. It helps to simplify for businesses to be more attentive to their customer needs while making the relationship more efficient.
With the fresh funds, Weave’s CEO Brandon Rodman said he has plans to invest in its technology and expand its operations to other places geographically. Rodman said, ” Communication platforms are vital to any customer-facing industry and the SMB market has been woefully left behind as existing solutions are built for Fortune 500-size enterprises. We are filling a unique market need by helping small businesses better serve their customers. Today’s funding further supports our vision that unified communication tools can be a reality for today’s successful small businesses.”
Further to the funding, Crosslink Capital Partner David Silverman and Pelion Venture Partners managing director Blake Modersitzki will join the company’s board of directors.
Until date, Weave has more than 2000 dental and orthodontics practices as clients from all over USA and Canada. With the current funding, the company’s total funding raises to more than $20 million.
