If you are not bored with hundreds and thousands of tweets on your Twitter timeline, the micro blogging platform has announced that it will let you follow more people now. Twitter has increased the follow limit from 2,000 to 5,000.

Previously, Twitter allowed you to follow up to 2,000 accounts if you have high ratio of followers. The micro blogging company didn’t say much about the reason behind the expansion of follow limit. The tech giant said that their anti-spam tool is capable of preventing bots from misusing this new feature.

Twitter wrote on its blog about marking spam accounts, “We monitor all accounts for aggressive following and follow churn (repeatedly following and unfollowing large numbers of other users). You can read more about these below, but if you don’t follow or unfollow hundreds of users in a single day, and you aren’t using automated methods of following users, you should be fine.”

Twitter has increased the follow limit; it means that you can spend little more time on twitter by checking several tweets on your timeline. Twitter has made several changes to its micro blogging platform in recent times. Recently it also increased the word count from 140 to 10,000 for DM. The company has also added Moments feature recently. This new follow limit also allows you to see lots of activities.
