If you plan on restoring from an iCloud backup on your new iPhone, it’s a good idea to do a manual backup right before so you ensure all messages and any other content that you may have added since your last automatic backup are included. However, if you’re planning on using iTunes in order to restore, skip down to the very last section



Methods to transfer data from old iPhone to new iPhone 6 or 6 Plus

First of all you has to make the backup for data of your old iPhone, and for this you have to following these steps –



  1. First of all you have to launch the Settings app on your old iPhone
  2. After that you have to tap on  the iCloud.
  3. Now you have to tap on the Backup.
  4. And at last you have to tap on Back Up Now and wait for it to finish.

  1. After your new iPhone powers on, you will see a welcome screen, Slide your finger across the bottom where it says slide to set up.
  2. Now at here you have to choose your preferred language from the choices presented to you.
  3. After that you have to select the country or region you are in.
  4. Now choose your WI-Fi network and then  enter the password for it if there is one. If you don’t have access to Wi-Fi, you can choose also use the Cellular but keep in mind, only some things in your iCloud backup will be restored without WI-Fi.
  5. Or you can choose to restore from an iTunes backup if you have access to one.
  6. On the next screen,  now you can select Restore from iCloud backup.
  7. Now you have to Sign into your iCloud account and tap next.
  8. Then you have to agree to the terms and conditions, and then confirm by agreeing a second time in the popup menu.
  9. And now you can choose the backup you’d like to bring down to your new iPhone.
  10.  At here you can Type in any iTunes or iCloud passwords you are asked for and tap Next.
  11. Wait for your iPhone to restore from iCloud — this process could take quite a bit of time depending on how much stuff there is to bring down, so it’s a good idea to plug into a charger if you don’t have a full battery.

  1. After your new iPhone powers on, you’ll see a welcome screen, Slide your finger across the bottom where it says slide to set up.
  2. Now choose your language from the choices presented to you.
  3. Select the country or region you are in.
  4. Now choose your wifi network and enter the password for it if there is one. If you don’t have access to wifi, you can choose Use Cellular but keep in mind, only some things in your iCloud backup will be restored without wifi. Others won’t be triggered until you’re on WiFi. Or you can choose to restore from an iTunes backup if you have access to one.
  5. On the next screen, select Restore from iTunes backup.
  6. If you aren’t already connected to your computer containing your iTunes backups, your iPhone will prompt you to do so now.
  7. Follow the prompts in iTunes in order to select your most recent backup
