At IFA 2015, TomTom has released a new fitness watch named TomTom Spark, which comes with a music player in addition to the existing features. This new fitness tracker watch allows you add a specific playlist to the watch.
This watch comes with some interesting features that can track running, cycling, swimming as well as heart rate similar to TomTom Cardio.It also allows the users to play music without the use of any smartphone with its integrated music player.
Peter-Frans Pauwels, the Co-founder of TomTom said, “We all know what GPS does to the smartphone battery, but people put up with it because music matters.” The company suggests that the smartphone may not a very good option for workout sessions.
This TomTom Spark comes with 4 GB storage space, which gives you enough storage to add songs from Windows Media Player or iTunes. However, to listen music, you may have to use wireless headphones as this device plays music only when connected with wireless headphones.
This Spark fitness tracker comes with 24 hour fitness tracking features, which would monitors your whole day activities including sleep as well as fitness exercise activity. This device also comes with different colored straps with two different strap sizes.
The TomTom Spark comes at the price of $290 and would be available to pre-order from September 3. Few other models are expected in October.
