The Viral Fever raises $10 Million from Tiger Global

The Viral Fever, Indian Entertainment Platform has raised $10 million from Tiger Global. The update came from the filings made by the company to Registrar of Companies in India. With this deal, Tiger Global now owns 25% of the company, valuing it at $40 Million (INR 270 Crores).

The Viral Fever, which makes online videos centered towards Indian youth, was founded in 2010 by IIT graduate Anurabh Kumar. Later, Biswapati Sarkar and Amit Golani joined him.

TVF has produced a super-hit youtube series named as Permanent Roommates and TVF Pitchers, which gained huge attention from across the globe. TVF has lately been one of the most popular Indian youtube channels. As of this moment, TVF has over 1.3 million subscribers on Youtube along with over 132 million video views.

TVF has started to publish the new content on their website lately and the latest series, Permanent Roommates 2 is going to air on the website and TVF app.

According to the detailed gathered from Registrar of Companies, Contagious Online Media, the company which operates TVF, reported a revenue of Rs 64 lakhs with a profit of Rs 22 lakhs in the period which started from August 3rd and ended on October 21st.
