Tesla is one of the most popular electric car manufacturing brand across the Globe, with its solid range of electric cars and dedication towards making those cara more comfortable for users. Recently it has announced its plan for charging stations and now the company has the update about its old Roadster sports car ready to ship.

The company has announced the price of battery update of its aging sports car, which will have 40 percent more energy capacity than the old one. Tesla is taking orders for its Roadster 3.0 upgrade, which was announced last year. The update will cost you $29,000, which includes $5,000 deposit upfront. The update looks pretty expensive, but Tesla says, “It is not our intention to make a profit on the battery pack. The reason the cost per kWh is higher than a Model S battery is due to the almost entirely hand-built, low-volume (only 2 or 3 per week) nature of Roadster battery packs.”

This means that if you love your Roadster sports car and want to increase its capacity, all you have to do is place the upgrade order by depositing $5,000. Once your update parts arrives, then according to Tesla, your local service center will take few days to upgrade your old electric sports car, but there is no clear picture that how many days it will take to get those parts.
