TableHero, an India based startup which has developed an operating system for small local businesses has raised $1 Million in funding from a bunch of investors. The funding round was led by GrowX Partners and it also saw participations from Kunal Shah and Sandeep Tandon (FreeCharge), Haresh Chawla (IVFA Partner), Globevestor and Powai Lake Ventures.

The raised amount will be used in improving the technology around the products which are already live along with hiring more manpower in engineering and product design departments.

Founded by Deap Ubhi (The guy who founded Burrp which later sold to Network 18), TableHero works as an operating system for the local businesses. It includes a set of pre installed tools which automates the process of website and inventory management, reservations, appointments and payments, along with loyalty and customer management.

The startup is targeting restaurants as the early age customers by giving them a free hand on the technology. This gives the restaurants better chances of managing their business without worrying about the technology. TableHeri is targeting United States as its one of the first markets with a focus on areas like Seattle, Los Angeles and Bay area.

Speaking on the development, Sheetal Bahl, CEO, growX Ventures said that the main reason to invest in TableHero was because of Deap. He is one of the best product guys in India and he has a great team which is looking to disrupt the market in the time to come. We are happy being associated with him and hope for a prosperous relationship going forward.
