Swatch plans to release multiple simple smartwatch



Swatch, a Swiss watch maker is planning to introduce multiple smart watches in years to come. The Swiss watchmaker will have competition from Apple and other leading smartwatch maker in the market.

Nick Hayek, CEO of Swatch in a interview with Tages-Anzeiger newspaper said, “Our product is called Touch Zero One and that gives enough room for Zero Five, Zero Nine, the Touch Zero One is not the end of the progression.” Hayek also told the newspaper that the company is going to launch its Touch Zero Two at the Olympic Games 2016 in Rio de Janeiro.

The company’s CEO also told that they are going to release a payment capable watches that will be equipped with NFC later this year.

The Swiss watchmaker is not planning to directly take on Apple and other smartwatches, as its watch will not come with lots of feature like Apple or other leading smartwatch, instead its watch will come with some specific tech features in different models. In simple words, they are planning to just launch the watches, which will have some more features than just displaying the time.

Swatch Touch Zero One comes with some features like you can track the distance traveled as well as you can also measure your power of hits while playing Volleyball.
