Indian beauty and wellness services marketplace, Stylofie has raised undisclosed amount of funds from Jaideep Mehta, MD- South Asia, IDC.

The platform also enables the customers to compare the services, rate, read reviews and avail discounts on the salon services. Founded in September 2015 by Prateek Agarwal, Saurav Dey and Balaji Srinivasan, Stylofie has over 250 stores listed with a userbase of over 20,000 customers.

StylofieTalking on the development, Jaideep Mehta, who is now on board as a director, said “While most startups in this space are promoting the ‘Salon at Home’ concept, I can see that Stylofie is set to disrupt the way consumption of beauty and wellness happens in the current model, which is a significantly larger opportunity.  Beauty and wellness is a $10.5 Bn category, growing upwards of 20% y-on-y and with increasing affluence and beauty consciousness in India, this rate is unlikely to slacken.”

Stylofie plans to launch in Delhi NCR area by end of this month and the startup is eying to expand Pan India before the end of this year.

It has been a pretty interesting journey for Stylofie. The startup raised $250K in seed funding from HongKong based company Swastika. Also, in January 2016, it acquired Hyve, a mobile only marketplace based in Bangalore.
