Spotify update for Windows Phone brings free music streaming

Spotify allows you to access the millions of tracks from our library and the playlists on the go in the online mode, no need of internet connection. Spotify has today updated its app and has enabled its free music streaming feature to the Windows Phone users. This update is already available for the iOS and Android devices since December 2013, allows the users with the free subscription to access the existing playlists with the shuffle play option.


Previously, only the premium subscribers were able to stream the music through the Windows phone app. Now with the latest update, free users can also stream the content from their playlists. In addition, Spotify has also tweaked the presentation of the search results and made finding the new artists simpler. Below is the changelog of the latest update.

  • Listen to all the playlists which you have created and the playlists from the people you follow. Spotify allow you to discover the new music, save and share.
  • If you want to listen to certain artist, just hit on shuffle play and listen to the entire catalogue.
  • Just browse to get the right playlist and select the playlists for different moods.
