Spotify has updated its mobile app for both Android and iOS platform and the company has released 4.1 version of its app on Monday. This new update has added support for the second generation Chromecast. Now, Chromecast users can directly stream songs wirelessly via their TV and speaker setups.

This new updated Spotify apps will support both Chromecast Audio and second Generation Chromecast, but older Chromecast users will have to wait a little longer for the Spotify support. Spotify will bring support to the first generation Chromecast soon. The company has not given more details about the exact time.

In addition to Chromecast support, the Android app of Spotify also comes with the ability to connect with 2016 BNW 7 Series, which allows the drivers to play Spotify music via their in-dash entertainment system. According to the music streaming service provider, the support to all other BMW cars will come soon.

Spotify is working on giving its customers best experience they can get, but it is a bit upsetting that the old Chromecast users won’t be able to take advantage of new Spotify support for Chromecast. The Chromecast 2 and Chromecast Audio users can download the updated Spotify apps from Google Play Store and iTunes App store.
