Bill splitting app, Splitkart raises seed funding from Anand Chandrasekaran

Splitkart, which allows its customers to split their bill through its app raised seed funding from angel investor Anand Chandrasekaran. Anand Chandrasekaran is CPO at Snapdeal, who has joined the company from Bharti Airtel this June. He has invested in the startup in his personal capacity.

Splitkart is an Android app that allows its customers to check restaurant deals and spilt its bills via its mobile wallet. Splitkart app was developed by Splitkart E services Pvt. Ltd. It is a Gurgaon based startup that was founded by Sharique Khan and Manojeet Sinha in June.

Currently, Splitkart acts as a best platform to find restaurants and pubs near you in NCR region. Customers can select their favorite restaurants and then make plans for that place by using this app’s group chat features. The app lets you to pay the bill by splitting according to your convenience. Users can also share restaurants deals on several social media platforms like Facebook, Google+, WhatsApp etc via Splitkart app.

As of now, the Splitkart Android app has 500 – 1,000 downloads. Currently, app only provide restaurant deals of NCR region, but the startup is planning to expand its deals service to some other cities in next few weeks.
