By | July 10, 2014

Is is known fact that Facebook UI is ever changing, but it releases the updates with some performance improvements and UI tweaks. The recent update is pretty dramatic which brings the cleaner and with the many new features rather than hiding them behind the menus. With the update released in April, the best thing is “Most recent” news feed view option.

The new update of Facebook app now only shows the “Top Stories” to view the most recent news feed. In the previous version you could change simply the setting from the default to show the Most recent in the main view, which means it show the feed which is relevant to you, rather than what has been posted or interacted most recently. Here, in this article I am going to discuss how to arrange the Facebook news feed according to the chronological order.

How to sort Facebook News feed by most recent on Android smartphones

  1. Login to the Facebook app on your Android mobile.
  2. Tap on the three bars present on the top left of the app.
  3. Tap on the gear to the right of the news feed.
  4. Here tap on the most recent to see the news feed according to the time.

Now it will be noted that what ever you do in the main news feed view in the app, it will always be on Top Stories. If you close out of the most recent view in the settings then you will be back to the old sorting method until you go to the manual view again.
