On Monday, Sony has released a prototype of its drone, which was built under the new company named Aerosense. This was created by Sony in association with ZMP Inc., a Japanese robotics company. This drone can carry products weighing up to 22 pounds and fly for more than two hours at the maximum speed of 106 miles per hour. You can watch a video released by Aerosense, which shows taking off, folding and landing vertically of the drone.

Drones is currently hot topic among the various companies, as big companies like Google and Amazon are researching about it so that they can use it for delivering purpose.

Hisashi Taniguchi, CEO of Aerosense Inc. and ZMP Inc. said that the company is targeting $82.6 million revenue by 2020, reports WSJ. He also said, “By making it automated, drones will be considerably safer because many of accidents today are caused by human errors,”

Previously Sony has said that its drone can be used by business users for observing, measuring, inspecting old infrastructure and surveying land from next year. This means that the device will be equipped with different types of instruments based on their requirements.
