With the IFA 2014 tech show round the corners, the tech manufacturers across the world are prepping to launch their much awaited offerings. Sony is usually known for announcing its flagship models for the second half of the year at this show.
This year, it appears like the Japanese vendor is planning to launch a tablet – the Z3 Tablet Compact and a smartwatch based on Android Wear at the show. Sony has unintentionally published the promo shot of this tablet before the event, but its specifications remain a mystery.
However, an AndroidOrigin.com report reveals the alleged specifications of the tablet. As per this report, the Z3 Tablet Compact will feature an 8 inch IPS display with FHD 1080p resolution. It will be a TRILUMINOS screen with X-Reality picture processing engine and an extra layer to reduce the reflections.
Under the hood, the upcoming Sony tablet is claimed to feature a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor paired with 3 GB of RAM for multi-tasking. Also, it is likely to come with 16 GB of internal storage capacity, presumably with a micro SD card slot for expandable storage support.
On the photography front, the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact will arrive with an 8 MP primary snapper with Exmor RS sensor and LED flash. The battery capacity is believed to fall between 4,500 to 5,000 mAh range and it is claimed to arrive with LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity features.
