IFA is very nearly here, with the first press event booked for September third. While Sony’s occasion doesn’t really happen until the fourth of Sept., we have a couple of new insights about what’s in store outside of the Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact and Z3 Tablet Compact. First and foremost up, another report “from sources acquainted with Sony’s pans” claims both the Smartwatch 3 and the Smartband Talk will make a big appearance at IFA. There’s also a relatively blurry render of the wearables.

The Xperia SmartWatch3 equipped with a 1.68-inch display, resolution packed is 320 x 320, IP58 certification, and a design that is very similar of the Gear 2 Neo launched long back. One interesting part about this latest rumor is that the watch will unexpectedly ditch Sony’s established watch ecosystem in favor of Android Wear.

As for the SmartBand Talk, the new band is said to be the successor to the not-so-popular SmartBand that was introduced earlier this year. The new tracker will be more than just a faceless band, adding a curved e-ink display that will likely bring notifications and other smartwatch-like functionality to the device.
