Siftr, Image-Searching platform raises $150K from Venture Catalysts

Siftr Labs, an Indian Image Searching platform has raised $150K from Venture Catalysts, Mumbai based innovation and investment platform. The funding round also saw participation from angel investors such as Vishal maheshwari, Daud Ali, Vikas Kapoor and Nitin Agarwal.

Siftr claims to be the first ever self updating photo website, which curates individual digital content photography platforms. Launched by Romil Mittal & Mayank Bhagya in 2015, the company aims to assist the individual photographers.

According to Romil Mittal, Co-Founder of Siftr, there are over a billion photos uploaded on the internet everyday. In such cases, it becomes difficult to search for the best picture online and Siftr is committed to provide one such way in various use cases.

The startup plans to use the raised funds to get better with technology along with focusing on marketing and user acquisition.
