Sherpa Capital raises $470 Million, Launches 2 new funds


Sherpa Capital, the private equity fund which has backed startups like Uber and SpaceX has closed the the latest round of funds. The amount raised stands at $470 million and it brings the total investment raised by the firm to $630 Million. The firm was founded by Scott Stanford and Shervin Pishevar.

Along with the fund raise, the firm also announced 2 new funds, Sherpa II to focus on the early age investments and Sherpa Everest to focus on the mid range investments. Out of the total fund raised in the latest round, $172 Millions will go to Sherpa Ventures II and the remaining amount, worth $298 will be used for mid stage investments by Sperpa Everest.

Sherpa Capital is trying to work with other LPs to participate in the investment rounds and it might end up raising more amount in the latest round as the founders feel that the talks are not over yet. We will keep you updated with anything which comes our way.
