How to set timer in Camera app for iOS 8

There is a timer in your iPhone and iPad which runs on iOS or latest version iOS 8 similar to standard point and shoot or DSLR cameras. This means that if you’ have got a tripod or can prop your iPhone against something, you can easily frame a photo and then jump in it yourself. This feature no need photographer. Simply set the timer and let the Camera app do the rest. If you are not aware then follow the below steps

How to set timer in Camera app for iOS 

  • Initially launch the camera application on your iPhone or iPad.
  • Tap on the Timer icon in the top navigation, suppose if you are in landscape the icon will be on side.
  • In that you can choose your desired timing like 3 seconds to 10 seconds.
  • Tap on the camera shutter and when you are ready ready to count down to start.
  • That’s it.




Move the place and wait. On the iPhone, your flash will light up every second and then flash rapidly for the last 3 seconds of the countdown. Once the time ends, your iPhone or iPad will take the photo, in burst mode so you have a good amount of photos to choose from in case someone moves. Stay tune for more tips and tutorials.
