Day by day cortana users are increasing, people now started interacting with Cortana to play music, set reminders, call any contact and more. Some of you may know how to do this already, but continue reading if this is new to you.
To get started with Cortana, first press and hold the search button on your device with Windows Phone 8.1 or Windows Phone 8.1 Developer Preview. When Cortana appears, just say the follow things to get your task done.
How to Set an Alarm with Cortana on Windows Phone
Say this after launching Cortana:
- Set an alarm for 5:30 A.M.
- Wake me up in 15 minutes
- Wake me up at 8 A.M.
Above, you seen how easy is to set an Alarm using Cortana, also you can turn off the alarm using Windows Phone voice assistance, just say, “Turn off my alarm.” Cortana will ask which alarm you want to turn off. Tell her the time, Cortana will automatically do that.
I was also trying to play more with Cortana to set alarm in different way, though, It didn’t worked for me. For example, Cortana does not understand, “Set an alarm at 6 A.M. every Thursday.” or “Set an alarm for July 10th at 5 A.M.”. However, Cortana, a voice assistance feature, available for only Windows Phone 8.1. One workaround, of course, is to change the region setting in your device.
