On-demand home service startup, SBricks acquires Melway

Hyderabad based on demand cleaning and repair service provider, SBricks has acquired Melway for an unspecified sum. Melway is a pretty popular facility management and hands on service platform. With this deal, 200 home cleaning professionals will join SBricks folds along with brand equity and clientele portfolio.

The on-demand home cleaning and laundry startup, which was founded this year, is going to retain the four year old Melway trade name. The existing team structure of Melway will also remain intact. SBricks is an on-demand service provider that offers trusted and professional services for cleaning and repair.



Founder and Chief executive of SBricks, Nithin Reddy said about the development, “Melway adds tremendous synergy to our growth plans in home cleaning services business that is growing at a rapid pace. We are currently clocking 125 orders per day and expect to touch the 300 orders per day mark in the next few months. Now, we also have access to 6,000 service touch points that Melway brings to our table,”

As of now, the SBricks offers its services in five Indian cities that include Bangalore, Hyderabad, Tirupati, Vishakhapatnam and Kochi, but the company is also planning to expand its services to some other major cities like Pune, Chennai and Vijayawada among others. The startup offers services in various categories including cleaning, laundry, electrical, plumbing and carpentering among others. The minimum fee of its service is Rs. 300.



Currently, SBricks has more than 5000 clients and it is aiming to have 10,000 clients in next six months. Big Cinemas, Asian Movies chain are few of its major customers in addition to individual houses, apartments etc. The startup is planning to have its own team of professionals and partners, who will follow stringent “Quality and Price Control.”
