Samsung teases about new Gear S2 in a video

By | August 20, 2015

Today, Samsung has released a teaser for Galaxy Gear S2 smartwatch, which is likely to be launched at IFA Berlin on September 3rd. Korean electronics giant has released a video showing some features of the new upcoming smartwatch.

The most important thing of this new watch is its design, which looks way better than its predecessor. Samsung has totally changed the design of its new Gear smart watch with sleek design and round face. This means that the day of rectangular smart watch of Samsung is gone. This new device comes with sleek and metallic body similar to the normal watch available in the market. Right now we can’t say about the thickness of the watch, as we didn’t get a good look on it in the uploaded video, but if we go through the looks, this smartwatch would be a hit after its release.

In the video, we saw the user interface of the smartwatch, which looks solid but it looks like the new wearable device still runs the Tizen operating system. This can be a setback for Android fans, as it looks unlikely that the device will support devices other than Samsung. The previous version of Samsung Gear only supported the smartphones of Samsung’s Galaxy series. This might be a problem, but the new round look and sleek design gives this device an upper hand in the market.

This is not the first time, we got to see the Samsung Gear S2, as the company has teased about it at Unpacked S2015 event on August 13th. We don’t have much information about the specification about the product. The known details till date are: the device will come with rotated round face, sleek metallic look and one thing is pretty sure that this watch will come with more powerful processor than its predecessor.

There is also no news about the price of Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch, so for more updates stay tune folks. If you want to watch the promotional video of Samsung Gear S2, then click here.
