Till now we have little knowledge of Samsung latest smartwatch Gear S2, all thanks to the teaser and Instagram picture unveiled by the company itself. But we got some more news about the watch, as Samsung released the official specification of the watch before IFA 2015.
The company has unveiled that the upcoming round face smartwatch will come in two configurations along with a 3G watch. The names of the two models are ‘Gear S2’ and ‘Gear S2 Classic.’ According to the press release of the company, the upcoming watch will feature the rotating bezel as well as Home and Back buttons, which will allow the users to access the notifications and application quickly and comfortably.
The regular model of Gear S2 will come with a two flavors, first one will come in a dark grey case with gray band and the other one will have silver case with white band. The other Gear S2 classic comes with black finish with matching leather band and is made for users, who want more elegant watch design.
The dimension of Gear S2 would be 42.3 x 49 x 11.4 mm and weight would be 47 grams, whereas Gear S2 classic will measure 39.9 x 43.6 x 11.4 mm and will weigh 42 grams. The 3G version of the Samsung Smartwatch would measure 44.0 x 51.8 x 13.4 mm and will weigh 51 grams. Both Gear S2 and S2 Classic will come with 250mAh batteries, which according to the company will last up to 2 -3 days based on usage. The 3G version watch will come with 300mAh battery, which can last up to 2 days.
Some other specifications of theses watches would be the usual like display, OS, memory etc. all the watch will come with a 1.2 inch circular Super AMOLED 360 x 360 resolutions display with 302 ppi. Each watch will be powered by Tizen Operating System with dual core 1.0 GHz processor with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage space.
However, the price and the release date of the upcoming smart wearable from Samsung has still not declared yet.
