Samsung Reportedly Prepping to Launch New Series of Smartphones Soon

Within days of the announcement of Galaxy A lineup of smartphones, Samsung is rumored to be prepping to launch a brand new smartphone lineup soon. This new series is alleged to follow the single letter naming convention as the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5.

As per SamMobile, the South Korean tech giant might soon ditch the long naming conventions with the new series of smartphones. The report adds on that the vendor will soon launch a new lineup of smartphones with single letter naming convention as the Galaxy A lineup. However, further details regarding the smartphones that be introduced in the new series or the tentative time frame for their launch remains unknown.


Meanwhile, rumors regarding the next flagship smartphone, Galaxy S6 have started making rounds all over the web. The device is reportedly codenamed Project Zero and it is speculated to feature a QHD 1440×2560 pixel display, but the size of the screen remains unknown. It is said to use a Sony IMX240 sensor and either a 16 MP or a 20 MP primary snapper. The front-facing camera of Galaxy S6 is believed to a 5 MP sensor as in the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5.

It is also rumored to incorporate a 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7420 processor in one variant a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor in another. A power-efficient Broadcom BCM4773 chip combining Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi is also expected to be onboard.
