Samsung launches Metal finished Galaxy Alpha

Samsung now launched the most awaited metal framed device as Galaxy Alpha. Since few months ago we were getting across lots of rumors and leaks about this device. Its good to see the new avatar of Galaxy flagship smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha,  boasting a metal frame and a 4.7-inch HD display, the Galaxy Alpha shows a take off from Samsung’s popular plastic-body lineup, with a squared-off design refurbished in more premium materials. It’s also slimmer than any other Samsung flagship they revealed, measuring in at 6.7mm thickness. The display itself is a 4.7-inch SuperAMOLED, giving a decent pixel density of 312ppi — a little less than we are used to seeing from flagship devices these days with mid range or high end devices, but still sharp enough for most use cases.

On the different side, the Galaxy Alpha includes a powerful octa-core Exynos CPU with four cores clocked at 1.8 GHz and rest of the four at 1.3 GHz coupled with 2GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage and a 12-MP as a main camera, along with a poor 1,860 mAh battery. The device runs the very latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Samsung’s latest TouchWiz UI that Samsung has already started giving this UI to almost all devices and all the features you’d expect from a modern Samsung phone: S Health, fingerprint Scanner, Ultra-Power Saving Mode, and Private Mode, among others.

According to the sources, the Galaxy Alpha will be available “at the starting of September,” in five different colors like gold, silver, black, white, and blue, which will also depend on market. In the UK, retailer Carphone Warehouse says it’ll stock the Galaxy Alpha, and that it’ll sell the blue color exclusively. Carriers EE and Three have also confirmed that they’ll start selling this device with more available color range.
