A new variant of Samsung’s flagship smartphone called Galaxy S5 Plus has appeared on the firm’s official website. The listing shows that the handset comes with similar specifications as the Galaxy S5 4G+ launched in Singapore.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus is likely to arrive with a faster processor than the current variant as it employs a quad core 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC, whereas the original Galaxy S5 comes with a Snapdragon 801 processor.
The new Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus is listed to come fitted with a 5.1 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and incorporate 2 GB of RAM and Adreno 420 graphics unit to handle the multi-tasking and graphic handling capabilities respectively.
Other specifications on the Galaxy S5 Plus include 16 GB of native storage capacity with support for expandable memory support using a micro card. The imaging department is also similar to the Samsung Galaxy S5 as it comes with a 16 MP primary camera and a 2 MP front facing snapper. Furthermore, it will arrive with support for faster LTE with download speeds of up to 225 Mbps. Likewise, the Galaxy S5, this variant also features a fingerprint sensor and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.
As the Galaxy S5 Plus is listed on the Netherlands website of Samsung, it is expected that the device will be launching in Europe shortly. Anyways, we need to wait till the official launch to know about the pricing details of the device.
