The South Korean tech giant Samsung has announced that it will be releasing the Gold colored variant of its flagship smartphone – Galaxy S5 in US on May 30. It is also confirmed that the device will be up for grabs from the same day from all the major US carriers such as AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, U.S. Cellular and Sprint. However, the Verizon variant will not be available from the Verizon stores as it will be bought only from select indirect retailers.
The Gold Sasmung Galaxy S5 will be bearing a similar price tag as the Black and White variants of the handset that have been released earlier this year for $199.99 on contract. Obviously, even the specifications of the handset remain unchanged including a 5.1 inch Super AMOLED FHD display with 1920×1080 pixel resolution. The device will com packed with a quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset, 2 GB of RAM, 2,800 mAh battery and 16 MP primary snapper. Fueled by Android 4.4 KitKat, the device features a fingerprint sensor and heart rate monitor as well.
For now, there is no details regarding the global availability of this Gold variant of Galaxy S5 and we need to wait until the firm reveals some information regarding the same.
