RoomsTonite raises $1.5 Million from group of investors

Last minute hotel booking app, RoomsTonite has raised $1.5 Million in angle funding from a group of investors including co-founder of Alchemy Capital Lashit Sanghvi and founder of Sixth Sense Ventures Nikhil Vora.

Some other investors like Venkat Vardhan (the promoter of DNA Networks), Ralph Berezan of Berezan Group of Canada, Mohammed Bin Abdul Rehman Al Khalifa (chairman of Caravan Group) as well as Vissal Mathew and Balamurali Krishna of IDS Software have also participated in this seed round of funding. The company will use the fund to expand its services in India as well as abroad and strengthening its team.

RoomsTonite is a Bengaluru based startup that offers last minute hotel booking service. The startup was founded by Suresh John in June last year. Basically, RoomsTonite is best option for business travelers, who have to make their traveling plan instantly.

This hotel booking service offers quality hotel instantly, that too at reasonable rate. It is best platform for both consumers and hotel owners, as Hotel owners get to sell their remaining room and earn some extra bucks, whereas customers get to book good hotel rooms at lesser price instantly.

The company has divided hotels in three categories: luxury, Premium and comfort. The startup doesn’t charge any amount to the customers for hotel booking, but it charges some percentage to the hotel partners. As of now, company has more than 200,000 downloads for its app. You can book any kind of hotel at an affordable price.

As of now, RoomsTonite has partnered with more than 4,000 hotels across 325 destinations in India. Currently, the company is facing competition from HotelsAroudYou, goibibo and Expedia, as they also offers last minute booking service via their platforms.
