Video streaming box are getting better and better. Google has launched its next generation Chromecast that comes with various new features and in different color options. Apple has also updated its Apple TV. Amazon’s Fire TV also gets its update and now it supports 4K resolution.

Now, Roku has launched its new Roku 4 box that comes with updated Roku OS 7, a redesigned app and also supports 4K resolution. This new streaming box from Roku is wider and flatter and comes with remote locator that will help you in finding the remote. The Roku 4 is a new set-top box and comes at the price of $129.

The remote control option will help you finding your remotes when it disappears. This set-up box comes with a remote logo, when you depress it the remote sounds an alert. This is an important feature, as the remote for most of these boxes comes in small sizes, which increase the probability of its disappearance. So it looks like Roku has finally realized the problem and has given pretty good solution. This remote comes with headphone jack, voice search, motion control and buttons for games.

The Roku 4 comes with a faster quad-core processor for 60 frames per second 4K streaming and 820.11ac Wi-Fi connectivity option. This device also comes with a new 4K channel that will let you watch some ultra HD content on your UHD TV. This device features an optical audio port, HDMI port and microSD port.

Roku 4 is currently available for pre-order for $129 and will start its shipment in October. The Roku OS 7 will roll out to currently available Roku devices in mid October.
