Ridley Scott to bring a Virtual Reality film

There have been rumors that Ridley Scott is working on a Virtual Reality film, but now director himself has confirmed the news. The 77 year old director has been in the film-making business for decades, his latest movie The Martian is going to hit the screen this week.

While taking to Yahoo, he said about the Virtual Reality films, “You have to go for it. You’ve got to, you’d be stupid not to,” The director didn’t reveal much details about the VR film, but it looks like he is not expecting a theater release of his VR film, as he said, “It points to me as probably a domestic experience, where you can sit in a room like this and [walk] through a whole universe by yourself, and then pass it on to your family,”

Fox is already producing a 15 minutes Virtual Reality Experience for The Martian, which will be available for Oculus Rift headset. This video is directed by Robert Stromberg, who earlier directed Maleficent starring Angelina Jolie. This video will show astronauts what to do to save their lives, said Scott.

This is a very good and existing news for VR users that Scott is bringing a Virtual Reality film.
