RentSher, Indian online renting platform raises $300K in seed funding

RentSher, an Indian online renting platform based in Bangalore has raised $300K in seed round. The funding round saw participation from some of the popular names from Indian startup industry including Vaibhav Doshi (Dubai based Ex-Mckinsey investor), Abhay Singhal (CoFounder inMobi), Vibhu Garg (Unicommerce), Joby Babu (Nimbuzz), Abhishek Acharya (Philips India) and Manish Shah (Wipro).



Rentsher products



RentSher, started by Abhijit Shaha, Harsh Dhand and Karandeep S Vohra, is an online platform which lets the users rent products like kids costumes for various occasions, Toys, furnitures and party products at a nominal cost. It also includes rental of laptops and projectors for small businesses and small level events. The startup is currently functional in cities like Bangalore, Delhi and NCR regions including Gurgaon and Noida.



The funding round will be used to get more products in the portfolio and grow on the technology front. Speaking to media, Abhijit Shaha stated that the main aim after this funding round is to get into more locations and build a buzz  around the brand.
