Release of YotaPhone 2 for US gets canceled

By | August 1, 2015

YotaPhone 2 with dual screen won’t be coming to US, according to the company, complication in manufacturing process is the reason behind it. According to an email sent to The Verge, the company said, “the reason for our cancelled launch is due to unforeseen delays including both production and delivery of the North American variant of YotaPhone 2 from our manufacturer” and “the logistics were insurmountable and the device would simply arrive too late”, reports The Verge.

The company also said that, due to delay in delivery of YotaPhone2 to North America, the customers who have ordered the phone won’t get it in time, which also means that when they get this product, other user in other country will be using this phone long before them. They also said that it will also cause problems for their 2016 plan, company furtherer stated that the people who have ordered phone through the Indiegogo will be still waiting for the phone, while other users in other region will be using newer and better YotaPhone as well as the phone will be less expensive.

So this means that f you have ordered the phone and lives outside the US, then you’ll get your YotaPhone 2 on time and you are lucky, but if you stay in US, then sorry folks, you won’t get the US version of YotaPhone 2, but don’t worry much as company is giving you two options for your money. You can either request for full refund or you can get the international version of YotaPhone, which doesn’t support US LTE bands. You can get only HSPA+ service on T-Mobile and AT&T on this international model of YotaPhone 2. It is still not clear that when and how will you get the refund money if you have opted for refund option.

Yet another great phone the US will never see because of our wireless telecoms discombobulated infrastructure.
