Indian on-demand logistics startup, QikShip has raised $200K in Angel Round of funding.
Qikship was founded in September last year by the duo of Vikrant Pathak and Gaurav Tyagi. It works as an on-demand logistics platform using which, the customers can ship anything to anywhere with the comfort of being at their location.
Once a customer registers a shipment through the platform, it provides free packaging and pick up within 45 minutes of placing the order. Along with that, the mobile app or the web platform give notifications about the estimated time of delivery along as well as point to point tracking details.
At this point, the startup is doing 300-400 shipments everyday and the average ticket size is Rs 200 (~$3). Major portion of the business comes from online sellers as well as the SMEs.
The raised funds will be used to expand the team to around 200 (it has 50 member team right now, out of which, 30 are pick up agents). Qikship also plans to build better technology platform to provide a seamless experience to the customers. Along with that, the startup is eyeing its expansion across Delhi and Gurgaon and aiming around 3000-5000 orders per day.
