The startup will install several lockers at the reception and lobbies of an apartment and offices as well as some retail shops to offer locker service. The main goal of the company is to make product delivery of any eCommerce company easy. As of now, the company is offering free installation of the lockers for interested consumers as well as for locations. QikPod is planning to install 50,000 lockers across the nation.

The startup will use this fund to develop network of full automated lockers, build team and concentrate on the technology innovation. The new service will simplify re-delivering of any product when customers are not at home for any courier service. The company will also offer better security and safety for the delivery process.

QikPod is the not the only company, who will offer locker facility. Blue Dart Express had already introduced similar kind of service in Gurgaon back in October. Currently, Amazon offers Amazon Lockers in US and UK, the online retail giant has also tried to apply this concept in India through Amazon Pickup. Amazon Pickup allows its customers to pick up their products from a specific location.

Online retail market of India is growing very fast and it is expected to reach $100 billion mark by 2020. So, this kind of service is going to be very useful. The storage facility from QikPod is a good service, which will simplify the last-mile delivery service for the eCommerce firms.
