AxisRooms has priced Channel Manager pricing at an affordable monthly payment starting from $50 to $120 per month depending upon the hotel rooms. This will be scaled up to $550 to $1375 per year. They do have plans for two years. Apart from these hoteliers has to Booking Engine Pricing ranging from $15 to $100 per month and $165 to $1100 per year. AxisRooms provides combo of either the products on monthly, yearly or two years.

The startup was founded in 2009 by Anil Kumar Prasanna and Ravi Taneja. Both the promoters are seasoned and experienced in hotel industry. Anil is the Chief Executive Officer of the AxisRooms. He was general manager in VIA World from June 2007 to March 2009. Apart from these he had worked with Cleartrip as Regional Manager – Product for short period in 2008. Anil founded AxisRooms in 2011 along with Ravi Taneja.

AxisRooms - Feature - Main Feature 4Ravi Taneja is Chief Operating Officer of the company. He has graduated in Business Economics (Hons) from Delhi University in 2002. Ravi went on to do his Masters of Business Administration in Service Marketing, Tourism and Travel Insights from Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management in 2004.



Ravi started his career as Assistant Manager – Business Development in ITC Welcome Group. He handled B2B sales for all properties of the group. He managed the portfolio of more than 200 operators in Delhi and NCR region. After a stint of 14 months he joined Assistant Sales Manager – PFS in HSBC Private Bank in 2005. He was responsible for sales of complete liability products under the bank for the Delhi and NCR. Apart from this he was managing HNI relationship management and cross selling wealth management products. He worked with HSBC for 16 months and joined VIA World as Senior Manager – Product Development in June 2007. The company is known for flight consolidation has ventured into hotels in 2008. He handled B2B sales for north and eastern of the country. He was responsible for hotel pricing and inventory contracting. In 2011 he joined Anil and co founded AxisRooms.

AxisRooms has developed Android App for called HEX – Hotel Xchange. The company aims at making business distribution handy and accessible from any corner of the globe. With the help of mobile app, distribution partners, hoteliers and guests will now be able to manage rates, track bookings, update deals and promotions. The mobile app provide the same functionality as the online booking engine and been optimized for hand held mobile devices.

AxisRooms may find competition in the space with Travelclick, Hotelogix and RateGain. On the revenue generation and growth prospect Ravi Taneja, Chief Operating Officer, AxisRooms said “Today, we help hoteliers distribute content and reduce their operations’ efforts and cost. In the coming months, we would also help them increase their yield by empowering them with strong analytical and revenue management tools. In the next two years, we would like to see ourselves distributing to more than 7000 hotels and powering more than 25,000 rooms per day. We should be a 150 people team by then.”



AxisRooms has received $1 million as Seed fund from Seed Advisors Pvt Ltd in 2013 apart from promoters have contributed around INR 1.8 crores. The venture firm funds seed stage capital to companies operating in India. Total size of the fund is tipped around $54 million. Seed Advisors invest $0.5 million to $4.0 million in the new startups. A point to be noted in this case Seed Advisors had invested seed fund in redBus which was later acquired by ibiboGroup.

    I travel quite a bit and had mainly used traveocity, expedia,and a few others but recently I found a site called http://hotelbookingreservation.weebly.comit compares hundreds of different booking sites in a single search.So you not only see trivago or expedia deals but ALL of them in one place.
    I must’ve save over 3,000 euros since I started using them.I agree,just using one of the top booking sites is not the best idea.
