By | August 5, 2015

Nikon has announced 3 new FX format lenses for Full-frame DSLR’s like D750 and D810. FX format lenses are also compatible with the smaller format DX Nikon like D7200, these cameras comprise with a telephoto super-zoom, a substitute for the long running 24-70 mm standard zoom and a new wide-angle prime (fixed focal length) lens.

AF-S Nikkor 200-500mm f/5.6G ED VR

This lens is considered as the most fascinating so far, the zooming quality of this lens goes way beyond than expected. This lens is perfect for all kinds of wildlife, aerial and sports photography. AF-S Nikkor 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR is modelled to work with the loftier sensor region of a full-frame Nikon as well as with the format cameras, their efficient focal length turns into 300-750mm.

Another attractive feature that persuades us to buy this lens is its market value which is way too cheaper and can be compared with any of the Nikon lens so far. This new giant technology could have costed more with its new advancements and features but the fact is that this new Nikon 200-500mm is for $1400 and this lens would be on deck in mid-September 2015. This lens has maximum aperture of f/5.6 under one wing at its maximum focal length. If you attach a Nikon 1.4x tele converter, it will bring down the maximum aperture only up to f/8. However the new models have advanced Nikon bodies to automatically focus the focal length and fine-tunes the aperture settings down to f/8.

This lens has Vibration Reduction (VR) system rated at 4.5 stops, and also has a Sport VR mode for chasing fast action. This is the lengthier fixed-aperture zoom lens Nikon have ever made. This lens 200-500mm also uses Nikon’s new electromagnetic diaphragm control, which provides more steady exposure control in the course of continuous shooting and it is more trustworthy compared to the other machine-driven nexus.

AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR
Nikon has declared a revised 24-70mm f/2.8 standard zoom and 24mm wide-angle prime lens for its full-frame DSLR’s, the specifications of this lens are similar to its forerunner lens.

Though the other lenses are amazingly outstanding with all the features and advancements, Nikon says that this 24-70mm lens is broadly used with its new optical formation, strong built designed to combat for years of daily wear and tear and an electromagnetic diaphragm mechanism. Nikon’s VR image stabilization system is added up to this lens, the previous lens didn’t have this and the VR image stabilization takes this lens to the most prominent lens category. The cost of Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR comes around $2400 and the previous lens are selling at half of the price compared to the cost of this particular lens. This lens will be available in the stores by end of August 2015.

AF-S NIKKOR 24mm f/1.8G prime lens

Last but not the least, the third FX format lens ranges to 24mm f/1.8 prime lens. This lens is handy, weightless and tiny and the cost of the lens is double the time compared to the previous lens 24 mm f/1.4 lenses.
Wide-angle lens is used on a full-frame Nikon DSLR or 36mm correspondent to semi-wide lens on a DX model.

The attractive feature about this lens is that it is highly useful in dimly lit situation and has low-light capability with the aptitude for amazing trivial depth of field effects.

The 24mm f/1.8 lens packages with lens hood and a soft pouch comes around $750 and the lens is to be available in stores by mid-September.
