NewsOn to stream local news on iOS, Android and Roku

This NewsOn app is a free dedicated ad supported streaming service for local news available for both Android and iOS platform, which is owned by broadcasting organizations ABC owned Television Station Group, Media General, Hearst Television, Cox Media Group and Raycom Media that covers almost 75 percent of United States.

The contents of this news app will be aired from 118 stations and will cover 90 markets. In addition to these five major broadcasters, news from Tegna and Graham Media Group will also be broadcasted via the app. According to the NewsOn report, it will also allow more organizations to broadcast their news via this app.

This NewsOn app features live and on-demand news, clips from various stations that can be accessed any time. The app interface comes with an interactive map, which will locate local news stations. Its interactive menu allows you to choose which part of news you want to watch. The interface of this app is pretty difficult to navigate, but we hope it will get better and better with some updates.

You can also use interactive video timeline to navigate the videos on the app. This news app will also shows tweets regarding particular news and users can also contribute to the news via the NewsOn app. This app is compatible with all smartphones and tablets that run Android and iOS. In addition to these devices this app is also compatible with Roku TVs, Roku Streaming stick and Roku streaming players.
