In December 2014, Newscorp acquired another start up called Big for undisclosed amount. Big is a financial planning service company based out of Mumbai which helps consumers to make financial decisions.

Big was launched in 2013 by Manish Shah and Gaurav Roy. The company has 40, 000 users make better informed decisions thru their interactive, decision making tools, which is claimed that decisions made on unbiased information and analysis on consumers on topics such as life and health insurance, retirement planning, child education, buying and renting real estate.

The services of Big, designed to be one stop shop that uses data and algorithms to help consumers in India make better financial decisions.
