New Members of HP Slate Family Coming Soon

The tech giant HP is increasing its tablet market.  It’s HP Slate’s tablet computers are already available in the market and now two new will joined the Slate family of the HP. In the official company website the two new products- HP Slate 7 VoiceTab Ultra and Slate 8 Plus Tablets are listed on the company website.

The HP Slate 7 VoiceTab Ultra is pre-order starts in Singapore at a price of SGD 499 (which is roughly $399), while the other model, the HP Slate 8 Plus is also listed on the company’s French site at EUR 299 (which roughly near about $41o). But the company’s website, is not mentioning the shipping details of both the products- Slate 7 VoiceTab Ultra and Slate 8 Plus tablets.



The Slate 7 VoiceTab Ultra comes with voice calling support. The tablet has  a 7-inch WUXGA (1920×1200 pixels) LTPS display, which is powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core HiSilicon Balong V9R1 Cortex-A9 (that manufactured by Huawei) with Mali 450 GPU and paired with 2GB of RAM. The Singapore website of HP shows that the Slate 7 VoiceTab Ultra has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and also offered a 5-megapixel front camera. The Site also claimed that the tablet has a 16 GB built-in storage, which is further expandable up to 32 GB via a MicroSD card. And the company’s gives a 5000 mAh battery which provide a long lasting life to the tablet.

And for the connectivity purpose the tablet has 3G support, Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n); Bluetooth; GPS, and USB OTG. But the main disappointment is this tablet is running on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system not in the latest Android KitKat variant.



While on the other hand, the HP Slate 8 Plus has a 8-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean (older variant of Android). This HP tablet is empowered by 1.6 GHz quad-core Hisilicon Balong V9R1 ARM Cortex A9 processor, which is coupled with a 1 GB of RAM. The tablet also carried a 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera and a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera. The Slate 8 Plus has 16 GB built-in storage, which is further expandable up to 32 GB with a use of MicroSD card. And for the connectivity purpose the Slate 8 Plus has Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n), 3G, and GPS.

According to the HP Franch official website the tablet comes with the SIM support. In fact the company is also offering one Micro-SIM included with the device. But the HP did not disclose the availability of the HP Slate 8 Plus and the tablet will support  the voice calling feature.
