The company founded in 2012 by Mahesh Ramakrishnan, Sumant Sarkar, Vinod CV, Dr. Jayaprakash S PhD and Abhishek Purohit.
Mahesh Ramakrishnan is co Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Nanobi Analytics. He graduated in Bachelor of Engineering from Bangalore University and did his post graduation from Indian Institute of Management, Bengaluru in systems and marketing. He has rich professional experience in his career. He started working Hindustan Motors, later moved i-flex solutions (subsequently merged with Oracle Corporation) where he headed Software Engineering Process Group. He was instrumental in getting SEI-CMM Level 4 certification to i-flex. Later he headed business intelligence unit of i-flex solutions. He became Chief Technology Officer of Reveleus, an off spring of i-flex solutions. During 2010, he took sabbatical and moved to UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India). He conceptualised business intelligence and Data Ware Housing Architecture and technology that are based on Open Source Technologies with the use of Hadoop, MySQL and Hive.
Sumant Sarkar is another co founder and Vice President of Nanobi Analytics. He has graduated from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and later got his Masters from Illinois Institute of Technology. He has achieved Japanese Language Proficiency at Level 4 from Navis Japanese School. Started his career as Software Engineer and became Associate Consultant in i-flex solutions. He was director of Marketing Business Intelligence at Oracle Corporation.
Abhishek Purohit is co founder and Vice President of Nanobi Analytics. He takes care of Partner channels and Product Strategy divisions. He has done Bachelor of Technology from National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli. Started his career as Reveleus Consultant in i-flex Solutions and later moved to IBM as Senior Pre Sales Consultant handling pre sales consultancy for IBM Information Management Suite of products for India and South Asia.
Vinod Cv is another co founder and Vice President of the company takes care Information Technology and Services. He is Bachelor of Commerce graduate from Bangalore University and is Chartered Financial Accountant and has done Post Graduation Diploma in Business Administration from ICFAI Business School. He started his career as Credit MIS Officer in Standard Chartered Bank. He became Project Manager and Business Lead in Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd where he implemented analytical applications on Credit Risk, Asset Liability Management, CRM Analytics and Credit Approval. He became Regional Engagement Director in Oracle and he was heading Enterprise Risk Management Application Development. He was heading a team of 60 domain experts in Oracle Corporation.
Lastly Dr. Jayaprakash S, PhD is Vice President and Co Founder of Nanobi Analytics. He plays diverse roles in Nanobi Analytics and assists various teams from Marketing to Presales. He joined LIC as programmer and he became Strategic Analyst and Solution Architect for Insurance sector. He became Delivery Manager of Oracle Financial Software Services Ltd. Subsequently he headed MetLife as Associate Director. He created Fraud Analytics to track frauds instantly on daily basis.
Nanobi Analytics serves more than 26 clients which are India based. Their clients include CCD (Cafe Coffee Day) who is their first client. CCD used Nanobi liquidData platform to get insights on their daily sales volume that is drilled down to each cafe sales. The output data helps CCD to have insight on granular data in turn helps them to market in better way.
Nanobi also helped NGO, Center for Learning Resources which concentrated on English learning and promotion of the language in Maharashtra. There was requirement of analytics with granular data at mentor and student level. The analysis was three dimensional includes students, Teachers and Mentors which was prone with errors. Nanobi Analytics developed analysis that can work on smartphone.
Nanobi Analytics started with small seed capital of Rs.70 lakhs and is targeting revenue earnings of Rs. 5 Crores for the financial year ending 2014 -15. In 2014 Mumbai based BPM Company Firstsource Solutions Pvt Ltd has picked up a minority stake in the company for an undisclosed amount. Firstsource services more than 100 global clients from multi delivery centers in various languages.
Nanobi Analytics will utilize the proceeds from minority stake sale to enhance their engineering, sales and marketing teams. The company has won Microsoft BizSpark India Challenge award beating 100 competitors across India and Nanobi Analytics was chosen as Emerge 50 for 2013.
