MyFitnessPal app for Windows Phone gets latest update

MyFitnessPal is the most popular online diet and health app which tracks the diet and exercise to determine the optimal nutrients and calorie intake for the users. With its largest food database of any calorie counter over 3 million foods it is amazingly fast and easy to use. Today MyfitnessPal app has been updated and the update would be out soon for the users who has been reporting the issues since December.


The update is now live in the Windows Phone Store with the version, but still there is an old changelog has attached. But it is expected that this update is released to address some lonstanding stability issues and bug fixes which users are facing in the app.

A post on the myFitnessPal website recommends uninstalling and again reinstalling the app before grabbing the today update which may be quite irritating. But this remedy any app freezes or crashes that you are experienced over the past few days. Below I am listing the features which came with the last update


  • Push notifications : You will receive the alerts when your friends are giving you the support and comments on other’s profiles and the news feeds etc. and get alerts with the simple push notification.
  • Voice Commands : It is one of the amazing feature came up with the last update. You can add anything to your diary using the voice commands. To use this simply press and hold the Windows button and add the food, measurements and exercises to your MyFitnesspal profile.
  • Type ahead searching : With type-ahead search it is easier and faster to search and log. Just type the first letters of the word and the filter list will be displayed.
