MyDentist - Main Feature 1MyDentist secures of $8 Million from new investors. Total Dental Care P Ltd owns and operates the brand MyDentist. The company is based in Mumbai and has started network of dental clinics.

MyDentist has network of clinics in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Surat, Nashik and Pune. The dentist clinic chain plans to take dental care to all the people in society irrespective of their financial status. They offer high quality treatment at reasonable prices. They offer EMI facilities for which they have tied up several banks for high cost treatments.

MyDentist offers treatments such as scaling/cleaning, filling, tooth extraction, dentures, root canal treatment, crown/caps, teeth whitening/bleaching, X-ray, dental implants and orthodontic treatments, cosmetic treatments.

MyDentist - Main Feature 2The company was founded by Vikram Vora. He is Chief Executive Officer of MyDentist. He has graduated in Bachelor of Engineering in Production Engineering from DJ Sanghvi College of Engineering in 2001. After which he went on to complete Master of Business Administration in Marketing from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) in 2003.

During his college days he became Director of Healix Healthcare P Ltd in April 2001. The company is specialised in designing, manufacturing and sourcing products for the dental care industry. After his post graduation he became Project Manager in Lionbridge in 2004. He was responsible for development of e learning modules for the company. After working 13 months Vikram moved to ICICI Bank as Manager – Knowledge Management in August 2005. In 2009 he founded Total Dental Care P Ltd.

The company has been awarded with several honours and awards like Most Creative People in Business 1000 – The complete list, 100 Most Creative People in the world, India’s Top 10 most innovative companies in India. Vikram was rated as no. 4 on the list of Hottest Young Entrepreneurs in 2013. MyDentist featured in Forbes India 11 startups to watch out for in 2012.

MyDentist - Main Feature 3The company secured funding of $10 million from SeedFund and Asian Healthcare Fund in 2013 as Series ‘B’ funding. MyDentist raised Series ‘C’ funding of $8 million from existing investors and LGT Group. The funding will be utilised for expansion to new cities and widen their customer reach. MyDentist has 103 clinics across Western India; the company boasts of 500 dentists on their roles and has treated 3+ lakh patients.

Asian Healthcare Fund is growth stage healthcare focused private equity fund. The funds focus on India’s health care sector. They provide funds to direct healthcare delivery, indirect healthcare services, medical devices and equipment, diagnostics and R & D services.

Other new investor LGT is a banking and asset management group owned by an entrepreneurial family called the Princely House of Liechtenstein. They have presence in 20 locations in Europe, Asia, Mid East and the Americas.
