MoxyBilna rebrands as Orami, Raises $15 Million

MoxyBilna, the female focused eCommerce portal which came into existence last month after the merger of two similar eCommerce portals, Moxy and Bilna has re-branded itself to Orami. With the rebranding, the new company has also announced a funding round worth $15 million to carry out operations with the new name. The funding round was led by Indonesian SMDV, the round also saw participation from Gobi Partners, Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin, Ardent Capital and Saverin’s firm Velos Partners.



Orami is a premium destination for women to buy women specific items in south east Asia. With focus on countries like Indonesia and Thailand. Orami is targeting a total population of 620 million. The portal currently sees over 3 million visits per month, out of that, over 75% are females.



Talking on this development, Jérémy Fichet, CEO – Orami said that on the peak days, the website sees over 12,000 orders per day and its average basket size is 25% higher than the other competitors. The raised funds will be used to establish a brand with the new name along with targeting the users in new areas.
