Motorola’s Moto 360 vs Sony Smart Watch 3 : detail comparison

Motorola unveiled Moto 360 in an event held at Chicago and New Delhi simultaneous, now the device is giving must competition among Android wear devices which includes Samsung Gear S, Asus Zen Watch, LG G Watch R. Sony also launched their the third generation first Sony wearable smart watch which means this Android wearable device  also giving heavy competition. So lets us compare Motorola’s Moto 360 and Sony Smart Watch 3.

Moto 360 is Android wearable device which is made of stain less steel and the strap is made up of 22 mm leather, and this device also has an ability to resist the water and entirely different from Samsung Gear S. Design of Moto 360 looks very simple,decent and very stylish with the elegant design and it looks more classy than casual.



Sony’s SmartWatch 3 features square design which means that it joins the club of LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live smartwatches, rather than Moto 360 and LG G Watch R which came with round faces. The design looks nice and the combination of rubber, metal and plastic work well and it doesn’t look bulky. It’s flat design and no bezel on the sides of the display creates the design which looks shiny on the wrist.


Both the devices has unique style of design as you all know, now let us see their Specifications of both the devices. Moto 360 featured a 1.5 inch round display with a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels.  The resolution is pretty much similar to the other devices in the same range. Where as the Moto 360 screen is bit smaller with 1.5 inch and 320 x 290 pixels screen resolution. Where Moto 360 is powered by Texas Instruments processor which may not be as powerful.

Samsung Gear S runs on the Tizen-based wearable platform, whereas SmartWatch 3 runs on Android Wear platform. Gear S is powered by 1.0 GHz Dual-core processor with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage. It features the sensors like gyro, proximity, accelerometer, heart rate, compass, UV light and barometer with a 420 mAh battery.


Motorola’s Moto 360 is bit low, as this device is available for $250 where as Sony smart Watch 3 costs around 229.9 euros which is approximately equals to $300. Over all the design is good for Moto 360 because it is quite simple, decent and formal. But in Sony the dail
