Motorola unveils the 2nd Gen Moto 360 in three variants

Motorola first launched its Moto 360 smart Android wear back in 2014 and its round dial and great look made it popular. The watch also has some problems like large size, less battery life and some others. So Motorola is coming up with its 2nd generation watch, as the company has announced its new upcoming smart watches. The new Moto 360 launches as three different smartwatches. There are two watches for men in two different sizes with one women’s version and one sport version named Moto 360 Sport.

The men’s and women’s version of Moto 360 is now open for preorder from the official website of Motorola and the company is set to start shipping the product later this month. You can customize the 2nd Gen Moto 360 with lots of option, as you can select from different materials, colors, additional bezels and band colors options. The price of the new Moto 360 is between $299.99 and $429.99. The Moto 360 Sport will be available by the end of the year and there is no news about the price of this sport watch from Motorola.


The new Moto 360 for men comes in two different sizes: 46 mm (similar to the original Moto 360) and 42 mm, whereas the women’s version of the new Android wear comes in 42 mm sizes with 16 mm strap. The strap of the new wrist watch is made of steel or leather. Another important change in the design is the preposition of the button, which is now placed at 2 o’clock. The users who are not fond of large size would love the small size dial of this Moto  360.

The men’s version of the new Moto 360 will come in three different colors options: gold, black and silver, while women’s version will come in gold, rose gold and silver colors. There are different strap options including leather double wrap for women’s version of Moto 360 2nd Gen.


This new Moto 360 smartwatch comes with flat tire display similar to the original, but the resolution of this new display is better than its predecessor. The display is still of LCD not OLED. The display of Moto 360 2nd Gen is good, but not as good as Apple Watch and LG Watch Urbane. The processor of the new Moto 360 is Qualcomm Snapdragon 400.

The company claims that the battery life of Moto 360 would be better than the originals –  the 46 mm size watch can be used for two days at one charge and 42 mm size Android wear is likely to stay for one and a half days of usage. The latest Android wear also comes with a heart rate sensor, Wireless charging support, Wi-Fi connectivity options.
