The Motorola made Google Nexus smartphone that is eagerly awaited to go official this fall is in the rumors since quite sometime. Now, a report from 9to5Google confirms some specifications of the handset codenamed Motorola Shamu.
The Shamu that is co-developed by Google and Motorola and it will be called either Nexus 6 or Nexus X. Also, when it comes to specifications, the Nexus smartphone comes with a 5.92 inch Quad HD display that will come with an impressive pixel density of 498 pixels per inch. This way, the handset will be a scaled up variant of the new Moto X boasting a 5.2 inch display.
The hardware aspects of the upcoming Nexus phone include a Snapdragon 805 SoC paired with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of native storage capacity. The imaging hardware on the Motorola Shamu includes a 13 MP primary camera at the back and a 2 MP front-facer. Also, there will be a 3,200 mAh battery that can pump in a decent backup to it.
From the leaked image in the report, the Moto Shamu appears to be reminiscent to the second generation Moto X. Anyways, the handset is claimed to be launched in mid-October along with the HTC made Nexus 9 tablet and Android L update.
