Mindtree Consulting turns aggressive with acquisitions, acquires two companies within few days of a gap. The company has entered into an agreement with Analytics Company Relational Solutions Inc, specialized in providing analytics on consumer packaged goods in retail sales. The deal is tipped to be all cash deal of $10 million. Promoters will be paid in two installments; they receive $7 million immediately after inking and remaining $3 million after two years.
Relational Solutions was founded in 1996 by Janet Dorenkott and Rob York. The company is into analytics and provides services such as data warehousing and business intelligence which will be helpful for analytics and data cleansing. The company has large-scale data warehouses and business intelligence in the country. Relational Solutions is the first company to use and evaluate second generation extraction/transformation/load tools including Informatica and DataStage.
The company stands in the forefront with several products positioned to retrieve data. POSMART enterprise demand signal repository, Tradesmart and Promopro, Bluesky Analytics, Bluesky Integration Studio, Bluesky XL Builders, Bluesky dashboard, BigData Foundation and Data Delivery Platform for SAP DSIM are products of Relational Solutions.
Mindtree has not confirmed whether Ohio-based Relational Solutions will remain different identity or integrated to the folds of the company. However, Mindtree is specialized in e-commerce, mobility, cloud management, business intelligence, data analytics, testing, digital transformation, infrastructure and ERP implementation and solutions.

Mindtree acquires another company Bluefin Solutions Ltd, the company is a global independent consultancy and SAP Partner. Bluefin solutions focus in the areas of business consulting, technology, strategy, implementation and change through SAP HANA platform. The UK based company delivers solutions to several well known prestigious companies in Europe. Bluefin Solutions is a major implementer of SAP solutions and has won several accolades like SAP Pinnacle Award, SAP HANA Partner of the year, SAP CRM Partner of the year and SAP BI Partner of the year. SAP HANA is well known to be a digital and real-time analytics.
The acquisition comes in the wake of several business houses plans to upgrade using SAP Application to SAP HANA of SAP S. At the same time it will give an opportunity to Bluefin to exhibit the features of SAP to the clients of Mindtree. Apart from this it will strengthen the presence of Mindtree in Europe and compliment the same in the US markets. Bluefin Solutions has offices in Malaysia, Singapore, and the United States apart from the United Kingdom.
Mindtree has paid Bluefin Solutions around 42.3 million pounds in all cash deal. Bluefin will be paid 34 million pounds immediately and 8.3 million pounds will be paid in next three years. All these acquisitions are subjected to regulatory and board approvals.
