Microsoft reveals Bing Venue Maps for Malls and Airports

The Microsoft has launched the Bing Venue Maps for Malls and Airports in India. Consumers can use the Bing Venue Maps to navigate up to 120 malls across the country and three airports – Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.

The Venue Maps service displays the, interior and exterior maps as a layer on top of Bing Maps, with a complete with store names and precise location data. The Venue map data have been provided from the Nokia Maps application as well as via Bing searches for public information such as maps which a mall may place on the  website.


The Bings Maps with Microsoft has showcased near about 120 malls across various cities of India such as Hyderabad, Delhi/ NCR, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Jaipur, Chennai, KolkataBengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, and other India cities can now be navigated via Bing Venue Maps.

Some extra features have also been added to the Bing search of the Windows Phone such as the consumers searching for local destinations on their Windows phones, now it will automatically be provided with directions on how to reach that destination, with an option for audio drive directions.

The Google has already launched the indoor maps for malls and other  place in India in the month of March of this year. The tech giant Google has stated that it had worked with 75 partners, across 22 cities to launch indoor maps in India and it will be adding more locations.
